Katie believes in a well rounded approach to care that includes both physical and mental health. Her approach is centered around her clients’ needs and desires to enhance their quality of life.
She is very supportive of a team dynamic; working with clients, their family or caregivers and other healthcare professionals.
Katie has a special interest in neurological conditions and upper extremity ailments.
Katie graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Specialization in Kinesiology in 2011 followed by her Masters of Occupational Therapy from McGill University in 2013.
Katie is in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapy and The Canadian Society of Hand Therapists.
Katie has experience with inpatient and outpatient settings working with clients of all ages and varying conditions related to mental and physical health. She also has a passion for teaching and has experience with Occupational Therapy students and Occupational Therapy / Physical Therapy Assistant students.

Decreased or affected hand function post stroke is a common issue – some more severe than others. Some people can present with high tone in certain muscle groups (in this case, wrist flexors, and finger extensors) to a point where it holds the hand in a really uncomfortable position.

Katie has spent her life being active; from playing sports growing up to focusing on her health through cardio and strength training. When she is not helping clients in the clinic she is staying very busy going on adventures with her husband and two sons.
