Group Physiotherapy for Children with Special Needs

Propel Physiotherapy is offering group physiotherapy for children with special needs beginning in March at our Etobicoke location. Developed and led by registered physiotherapist Janna Marvyn, the classes focus on gross motor skill development, balance and stretching for kids in four development stages, from birth through to 25 years old.

The classes are geared towards infants, children and young adults with developmental delays or congenital disorders, offering them a safe and supportive environment to exercise, play and socialize with their peers. The infant class can also be beneficial for typically developing babies and parents that would like information on productive play.

Janna’s mindset when working with children is keeping it fun, exciting, and engaging the children as much as possible while ensuring they are accomplishing all of the therapeutic goals. If children have existing therapeutic goals, whether from another PT, Orthotist, Doctor, or other healthcare professional, Janna will incorporate them into the class.
