WHAT IS EXERCISE PROGRAMMING?
Exercise programming is the development of a personalized fitness plan based on an individual’s current functional level, medical history and needs that is designed to help them safely and effectively achieve their goals.
HOW WE DEVELOP EXERCISE PROGRAMS
Movement is the foundation for our rehabilitation programs and take that seriously. When working with an athlete we consider a number of factors when developing a program – sport, current functional level and how the injury has affected movement, future goals, emotional state, current atypical movement patterns. We understand how the past, present and future can affect a person’s recovery and make sure we tease out as much information during our assessment.
Once a full functional assessment has been completed, an exercise program will be developed. This will be complete with short- and long-term goals and a roadmap to recovery through movement. Our exercise professionals have the ability to tailor the program to suit a number of different environments – clinic, home, school or community gym.
