DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL FOR THIS?
If you are going to use your health insurance benefits to cover the cost of physiotherapy or any of our other services, some insurance providers may ask you for a doctor’s referral to have those expenses reimbursed. Please check the details of your plan, your spouse’s or parent’s plan, ensuring you have the correct documentation, and submitting your receipts for reimbursement. We will be happy to help you find the necessary information.
In all cases, we do encourage open communication with your doctor(s) in order to ensure the best quality of service and care. You can let us know, during your first visit, if you would like them to be included in your correspondence.
Please note that OHIP (government-funded) coverage for physiotherapy services is only available at OHIP licensed facilities for Ontario residents under the age of 18 or over 65.
