Piraveenaa’s journey to physiotherapy began with a passion for healthcare and empowering people through movement. Her interest deepened while working as a front office administrator at Propel Physiotherapy in Etobicoke, where she witnessed firsthand the team’s dedication to helping patients regain their independence. Returning to Propel as a physiotherapist is, as she describes it, a full-circle moment.

She has experience treating neurological conditions, concussion and dizziness, and orthopedic issues. Piraveenaa takes the time to listen and understand the whole picture before crafting a treatment plan, skillfully breaking down complex problems into manageable steps.

Her greatest strength lies in creating personalized, intentional treatment plans that align with each patient’s unique goals, lifestyle, and challenges. By combining education, exercise, hands-on treatment, and smart progression strategies, she helps individuals achieve meaningful and sustainable results. She finds her greatest fulfillment in helping patients accomplish goals they once thought were impossible.

Education & Training

Piraveenaa Baskaran earned a Bachelor of Science in Life Science degree with a specialization in Sensory Motor Systems and minor in Psychology from McMaster University and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University.

Her professional interests are deeply rooted in the neurosciences, particularly the interplay between psychology, personal growth, and the conscious and unconscious mind. Her work experience includes treating adults diagnosed with neurological and orthopaedic conditions in various settings.

She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings at St. Peter’s Hospital Reactivation Unit, B2N Inpatient Stroke Unit Hamilton Health sciences, and Nipigon Memorial Hospital outpatient physiotherapy services.

Her post-graduate training includes Lower Extremity Mulligan Course and currently completing the 15-Day Basic Bobath Course: Assessment and Treatment of Adults with Neurologic Conditions.
