Lou-Anne Carsault
Physiotherapy Resident
Lou’s passion resides in helping people realize their potential. She is a strong believer that rehabilitation does not only allow individuals to achieve their goals, but also to know themselves better and to feel more confident when facing future challenges. Because of that, Lou enjoys having thorough discussions with her patients and providing individualized care. She also encourages her patients to lead their path to recovery.
Lou takes a special interest in improving overall mobility in her patients and likes to be creative with her treatment plans. She is as passionate about treating neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophies, or concussions as she is about treating orthopedic injuries. Lou also enjoys using hydrotherapy as a treatment option, so don’t hesitate to ask her about it.
I had a traumatic brain injury and my progress has been outstanding thanks to the knowledge and encouragement of the staff in the clinic. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, you can really tell they take pride in their work. I would definitely recommend this location because they produce results!

Overall experience has been very positive. I received consistent care from Nirma and was impressed by her level of knowledge and experience. Nirma offers a playful and kind energy during a challenging transition. I also had the chance to work with Jackson and he is very dedicated, professional, encouraging and knowledgable. I am grateful that I was able to work through my progression from a spinal cord injury with Nirma and Jackson. The staffs are friendly and professional, as well. I would highly recommend Nirma and Jackson at Propel Physiotherapy.

I was injured severely 4 years ago. I have needed an abundance of Physiotherapy as well as Massage Therapy. This clinic has given me by far the greatest and most successful care and rehabilitation to get back to my life. The staff are extremely knowledgeable in their field and not only treat you as a client but as a friend or family member as well. Propel Physiotherapy is an amazing name for this clinic because it has propelled my recovery! I would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone.

Lou-Anne Carsault completed her undergraduate degree (HBSc.) at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) in 2021 with a specialist in Molecular Biology and a minor in Professional Writing and Communication. Her studies equipped her with the ability to simplify complex scientific information; a skill that she uses daily when she assesses and treats. Lou also obtained her Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MScPT) at McMaster University in 2024.
Lou has experience treating patients with complex orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, and subacute to chronic neurological impairments. She took an advanced musculoskeletal elective class when completing her education and has volunteered for years to help patients with aphasia and to complete clinical research with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
She is currently taking the basic Bobath course which has been helping her ability to improve mobility and adjust body mechanics. She plans to further her education with more classes focused around exercise prescription, manual therapy, and dry needling.

When she is not working, Lou loves to try new things, no matter if it’s a new hobby such as inner tube water polo (highly recommended) or the newest food joint that serves extra spicy food (not as recommended).
She enjoys spending time with her friends, being outdoor as often as possible, and ensuring that trips make it out of the group chat.
