PART-TIME TO FULL-TIME POSITION
ETOBICOKE CLINIC LOCATION
(Burnhamthorpe Rd. and Hwy. 427)
Propel Physiotherapy is a clinician-led, privately-owned rehabilitation centre serving communities across Southern Ontario. We are one of the region’s leading providers of specialized neurological and complex orthopedic rehabilitation—a trusted partner for clients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and complex orthopedic conditions.
We are looking for a Registered Physiotherapist who wants to build a meaningful career in a supportive, collaborative environment—where your clinical judgment is valued, your growth is prioritized, and you have the time and autonomy to deliver care that truly makes a difference.
A Culture of Mentorship and Collaboration
At Propel Physiotherapy, mentorship is at the heart of our culture. Our team is cohesive, we have an upbeat and positive work environment, and we support one another—our focus is on collaboration, not competition.
What that looks like day-to-day:
- Mentorship meetings with management staff experienced in neuro (Bobath/NDT), hand therapy, vestibular, pelvic health, acupuncture, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and advanced technology—with the goal of providing the best care possible to our clients.
- Monthly clinical rounds where clinicians across disciplines share complex cases, discuss treatment approaches, and learn from each other. Our multidisciplinary team includes PTs, OTs, RMTs, Chiropractors, Mindfulness practitioners, Exercise Therapists, and more.
- In-services by senior clinicians covering the latest evidence-based techniques and advanced technologies (PoNS, Keeogo, LiteGait, NeuroSkin). Mentorship can be scheduled with an appropriate contact at your clinic location, in-person or virtually.
- Student mentorship opportunities through our teaching partnerships with the University of Toronto and other academic institutions. Many of our senior clinicians instruct and lecture through various higher education programs. As one student remarked, “Propel Physiotherapy provides an enriching educational experience… fostering the ability to analyze evidence, make sound decisions and judgments, and ensure an approach of lifelong learning”.
What Sets Us Apart
| What Sets Us Apart At Propel Physiotherapy | Other Big Clinics |
| Privately-owned, clinician-led practice—we answer to our patients, not to corporate shareholders | Corporate chain mandates that prioritize volume over outcomes |
| Clinicians have the autonomy to develop personalized, adaptive care plans | Cookie-cutter treatment protocols |
| 1–1.5 hour sessions—no pressure to rush through appointments | High-volume, low-quality care models |
| Mentorship from a Certified Hand Therapist with 33 years of experience | Limited access to senior expertise |
| We invest in your growth through education, research, and clear career pathways | Feeling stuck with no room to grow |
| A genuinely collaborative, client-centred culture where providers work together | Working in silos |
Our Commitment to Clinical Excellence
- Advanced neurological training: Our senior clinicians are trained in Bobath Concept/NDT, LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s disease, vestibular rehabilitation, pelvic health, and acupuncture.
- Advanced technology: PoNS, Keeogo exoskeleton, LiteGait, and NeuroSkin (Kurage)—equipment most clinics don’t have.
- Teaching and mentorship: Our founder and executive director Kyle Whaley has been a clinical instructor for the Ontario Internationally Educated Physical Therapy Bridging program since 2014. Propel routinely offers clinical placements for bridging program students, helping bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Kyle invests deeply in staff development, whether guiding new graduates through their first placements or troubleshooting front-office workflows. His open-door philosophy and “solve-forward” mindset ensure every team member—from clinicians to admin staff—feels valued and heard.
