Jhaelyn Gomme
Physiotherapy Resident
Jhaelyn’s journey into physiotherapy began during a challenging period in her own life. After sustaining a severe concussion in her final year of high school, she faced significant physical and cognitive barriers. It was the compassionate, skilled care of a physiotherapist and osteopath that guided her recovery and helped her return to the activities she needed, wanted, and loved to do. That transformative experience ignited her passion for helping others navigate their own paths to recovery.
Professionally, Jhaelyn is deeply committed to client-centered care. She believes in working collaboratively with each individual to understand their unique goals, ensuring treatment feels right for them. She has a special interest in treating concussions, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), vestibular disorders, and paediatric populations, driven by both personal experience and extensive clinical training.
Jhaelyn Gomme brings a strong academic and practical foundation to her practice. She completing her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2025, following an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science. Her clinical internships have provided diverse experience across acute care, rehabilitation, and paediatric settings.
At the Hospital for Sick Children, she developed personalized neurodevelopmental treatment plans for infants and children. In stroke and MS rehabilitation at the Rumsey Centre, she utilized evidence-based assessments to retrain balance and function. Her work in ambulatory care at Lakeridge Health involved creating and leading exercise programs for post-surgical patients, and her acute care placement at Mississauga Hospital honed her skills in complex patient management and interdisciplinary collaboration.
